The Switzerland-based artists BillyBoy* & Lala (a.k.a J.P Lestrade) have created a new Mdvaniiism artwork in the form of a medallion.
This Mdvaniiism, in a Pop Art scale American cent, was created to express the artists' support of President Barack Obama's 2012 endorsement of equal rights in regard to marriage in the United States.
The medallion is the magnified American one cent copper coin on which the profile of President Lincoln has been replaced by that of President Obama and the mention LIBERTY 2012.
In magnifying the smallest coin of the American currency to the size of an Olympic medal, it also serves as a reminder of the widespread problems brought on by the current economic recession»

For those not familiar with the term Mdvaniiism, the Wikipedia definition is as follows:
A Mdvaniiism is "anything which evokes Mdvanii but does not necessarily or actually show her or even a human image". ...."Manifesto Mdvaniiism" (is) a Transgressive Queer Art and (they) use this ism as a vehicle to express Outsider sensibilities through the paradox of her Old School acceptability.
Therefore, a Mdvaniiism can be anything glamorous which evokes Mdvanii, anything complimenting the intellectual concept of Mdvanii or anything which the artists give their approbation to. As of the early 2000s they have used a stamp which reads, "Mdvaniiism de BillyBoy* & Lala" and also often stamped, "This Is A Work Of Art" and "Manifesto Mdvaniiism de BillyBoy* & Lala".
